Timesheets

Last updated: August 12, 2024

Timesheets allow for the collection of work hours for both billing and Payroll purposes. Billing rates on Timesheets are typically hidden, but billable and non-billable Timesheet hours can still be transferred to a Ticket. Timesheet hours can also be approved before being processed for Payroll.

Crew Timesheet (CTS)

A crew timesheet is typically created by a supervisor on behalf of their crew. Ideal, if your supervisor is responsible for tracking a crew’s time and submitting it on a single timesheet.

Crew Timesheets link to one Job per Timesheet. It is not possible to add time for multiple jobs to a single Crew Timesheet. If hours need to be recorded for multiple jobs, on the same day, users will need to create a Crew Timesheet for each Job.

Individual Timesheet (ITS)

Individual Timesheets function as a daily timesheet; created by an individual user.

Individual Timesheets are ideal for employees working on multiple jobs or visiting multiple sites per day. Individual Timesheets support tracking multiple jobs on a single timesheet.

How to Approve Timesheets

After timesheets have been submitted by employees they must be internally approved before they can be converted to a Ticket. They can also be approved before hours are processed for Payroll.

How to Edit or Re-open Timesheets

Authorized users have the ability to make changes to Timesheets on behalf of other users or notify the employee to update their submitted form themselves.

How to Transfer Time to Tickets

For firms using Timesheets to record billable hours, Aimsio can help streamline the process of converting those hours to a Ticket (LEM), reducing double entry.

Accounts can automate the breakdown of RT/OT hours when converting Time to Tickets. Raw hours can be recorded on a Timesheet, while a Job’s Billing Rules handle the breakdown at the time hours are transferred to a Ticket.
